From the reviews
Extreme Karate and Fitness is an amazing place! My son started when he was seven years old and loved it! I saw there was an adult fitness challenge that I decided to do! I lost 15 lbs and I am a second degree black belt and have been here for 9 years! It’s an awesome work out with great self defense!
I just want to say , thank you .Sensei Dennis , Miss Karen and Staff. Since , my grandson joined in 2nd grade. He has become more confident and focused @ school+ dojo. His grades have improved and he’s more responsive and focused @ school .
Extreme Karate, keeping in mind that your 5-year-old son is learning discipline there: Extreme Karate: Building Discipline and More for Young Learners Extreme Karate lives up to its name by offering an energetic and engaging environment.
I will start out with the caveat that I rarely write reviews but this time I felt really compelled to express the phenomenal experience we’ve had at Extreme Karate. We signed our daughter up last summer, initially just something fun for her to do.
Your first Karate class at Extreme Karate & Fitness
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
