Well this is a review in the making for 2 years now. Is been overdue but what i will say is based on that span of time. When we arrived to Florida was very hard to trust the after school care of our little daughter giving the fact that she has special needs.
I have 2 kids they both had tryouts today. Sensie Diego was great very professional and the place is amazing. Only problem I had when I got there the place looked like it was closed but | called the owner Sensie Diego and he guided me to the back of the school for parking he even gave me his number if in the future I…
All the staff and specially Sensei Diego are very nice and professional. My daughter is enrolled in the after school program which is awesome because offers karate and gymnastics classes. She loves to go there! She’s super happy so I’m super happy. 100% recommended!
Folks this is the school to put your child in. Top knotch instruction and discipline is on point. The owners are amazing and easy to talk to, always available to assist with any issue. I highly recommended Haines City Sports Karate & Gymnastics to anyone!!!!
Your first Karate class at Haines City Sports Karate Center
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
