Been at Hero 5 years now and just teated for 1st degree. I love it here and love the people here. Cant believe i made it this far its only because if the great Masters and Instructors here. I am now helping assist classes to give back. You will not regret signing up! I joined Millennium a little over a month ago.
I completed radiation treatment for breast cancer in June of 2025 and went to watch my son belt test for his Orange belt after healing from treatment. I was so inspired and impressed with the welcoming environment that I thought I would try it out.
My son has been part of the Hero Martial Arts family for about 2-1/2 years. He loves it and so do we. The Masters and Leaders are such great people with high character and quality standards for hard work and achievement. The teachers/instructors help physically train you, while focusing on life skills and lessons.
Originally it was suppose to be rated as 5 star but I made a typo and was rated as 4 star. But I really like this place and so is my son. Master Mike and all the coaches are amazing and I love how discipline is top priority. Highly recommend it.
Your first Karate class at Hero Martial Arts
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
