From the reviews
I cannot express enough how much I love and recommend this gym! The instructors go above and beyond to provide a unique high quality training and curriculum that will provide full confidence in your skills. They often give you individual honest feedback and you will not advance unless you have truly earned it.
Krav Mags at Impact Martial Arts has been a great experience not only for conditioning my body and mind, but also learning how to protect myself when unexpected situations arise. Chris is an excellent instructor, he is super motivating and you never do the same thing in class twice.
I've been a member for about 5 years and from the beginning I was welcomed. Everyone is friendly, always helping each other and having a good time. Chris is a great instructor and leader. Always there for you encouraging you to do your best, do what's best for you.
Impact Martial Arts is fantastic! We are so glad we found this gym because Chris and the staff are great with the kids! They teach them what they need to know to perfect their martial arts skills and do it in a safe environment.
Your first Karate class at Impact Martial Arts
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
