From the reviews
I highly recommend, best karate place around! They offer so much more than just teaching karate, self discipline, builds confidence, ect! Not just for kids either, any age can join. They have Spring, Summer, Winter camps for when school is out and also early out days. They offer after school program as well!
Our experience with JKI Cane Bay has been excellent! We have been there for over a year and loving it! The staff and the students are very welcoming to everyone. The facility is well taken care of and clean. Classes are available for all ages.
This Japan Karate is Amazing! My lovely Girl has loved it so much that she Been there for 3 years and Want to keep working hard to her next belt and she wants to keep doing it till her Full black belt! I am so proud of her and thank you to her Senpai’s that help her with many things. We love this place!
We have tried several karate dojo’s for our children and they have not wanted to go to any until this one. JKI makes it fun while still keeping the structure and culture of karate. The prices are great which is a plus. The schedule is feasible for working parents which is another plus. Would recommend to anyone.
Your first Karate class at Japan Karate Institute Of Cane Bay
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
