From the reviews

My 6 year old son goes here. Master Walker is amazing with the kids. He is encouraging, positive and a strong presence. He is an advocate for manners and good behavior in all facets of the child's life. I also go to the kickboxing class. He is positive and encouraging with the adults as well.

My husband and I just signed up our son back at the beginning of August of this year. My son is learning discipline and structure. He enjoys going to class every time. Master Walker is awesome with the little kids has a lot of patience as well. He is also an awesome motivator both with the kids and with us adults.

We couldn't have chosen a better place for our daughter. Master Walker is INCREDIBLE with children; maintains a safe environment and always keeps the kids active, training, making sure they fully understand the training being provided. A bonus to the Parents, is that Master Walker offers a Parents Night Out evening.

My daughter has been going to Legacy Martial Arts for a couple of years and she absolutely loves it. I can see a change in her confidence and effort towards achieving goals. She’s now at the level where she works with partners and is doing very well. Taekwondo teaches so much more than just defense training.

Your first Karate class at Legacy Martial Arts & Fitness

Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.

Karate is a contact sport. Ease in, train within your limits, listen to your instructors, and if you have any injuries or health concerns, mention them before class and check with a doctor if you're unsure.
