From the reviews
Master Straga's Tang Soo Karate Academy is the best place to learn martial arts! No matter what your age or ability is when you first enter the training hall, you will cultivate discipline, concentration, respect, and garner tools that will make your life stronger, healthier, and happier.
Sah Bum Nim is my teacher and I trained under him since November 2009. He is like a father figure to me, the way he has taught and trained me over the years is extremely wonderful. He has treated me like a daughter and I have a great deal of respect for him and his family.
Master D Straga takes the time to help each and every student to learn the Korean Karate Tang Soo Do. The price to learn A wonderful martial arts is pretty pair, for what he teaches is well worth your time. Great Discipline control and Many great Students to learn with in class.
Master Straga is an excellent instructor and dedicated martial artist. There are very few instructors of his quality and caliber.
Your first Karate class at Master D. Straga's Tang Soo Karate Academy
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
