From the reviews
We chose Master Hannah’s Pro Martial Arts for my son’s 8th birthday party, and it was wonderful! My son is not a student with Master Hannah so we didn’t know what to expect, but we felt like part of the studio family from start to finish.
My daughter has been attending Master Hannah’s Pro Martial Arts program, and we couldn’t be happier! The instructors are incredibly patient, professional, and truly care about each child’s progress, not only in martial arts skills but also in confidence, discipline, and respect.
Never having known anything about martial arts, we signed our son up as a 4.5 year-old and started doing 2 practices a week. From the very beginning, Kara and her team have been excellent to our child. The classes allow our child to learn the basics needed to succeed on their martial arts journey.
The teachers at PMA are all fantastic, and they really know my son well. They are so positive and encouraging, and they are also a lot of fun! Recently, my son was upset about something that happened at school and he didn't want to go to practice that day, but Mr.
Your first Karate class at Master Hannah's Pro Martial Arts
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
