From the reviews
The best school BY FAR in Broward county. Discipline, respect, and REAL Taekwondo. Our kids were there for more than 7 years before we moved to Houston, and we can only wish to have the Millo's move to Houston, because after 3 years here, we have not found a school that compares with PGK, and we have seen many, all…
I grew up at Power and Glory, Luis and Renee were like second parents to me. This isn't a pay for a black belt kinda school. You get out what you put in. At PGK I learned discipline, control, modesty, and humility. They teach you Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
We loved Power and Glory. We moved to Florida and looked for a good taekwondo place for two years. I finally found it and we're only able to enjoy it for about a year before we had to move again. Family run. Actually care about you. Teach Good principles and values. Not focused on climbing the ladder...
Power & Glory Karate is more than Taekwondo or marital arts it’s about Family. It’s about Family you want to have and choose to have. Mr. & Mrs. Milo are integral to our grandchild’s success she started karate as a 5 year old in kindergarten and now she is a Graduating Senior on her way to College with a full grant…
Your first Karate class at Power and Glory Karate
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
