From the reviews
The martial arts center is everything you could ever want in a martial arts studio! Everyone is so welcoming and kind. The culture is fantastic, the practitioners are always cheering each other on, there’s healthy competition, and everyone steps in to help each other out.
My daughter has been apart of the Martial Arts center since December and she loves it! They do such an amazing job to help the kids with confidence, respect, discipline, and to become great leaders. They really do care about the growth of the kids.
My son, Justin has been coming here for almost 4 years, he is 8 now and I have seen my son's focus and self discipline improve so much. The MAC have been like a 2nd family to us. The instructors are awesome, who make it a point to see how he is doing socially and academically. I am so glad we found this school!
This program is about as professional as it gets. It’s so much more than karate. Sign up…..take the free class and you will see what I mean…..very affordable for what your child will get out of it. Christa and her team have it dialed in.
Your first Karate class at The Martial Arts Center
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
