From the reviews
My family has had the privilege of training with Ms. Waters for several years now. She has been an incredible mentor to my children, genuinely investing in their growth as martial artists and as individuals. My children trust her, feel comfortable with her, and know she truly cares about their success.
We couldn't be happier with this karate school! Since my child started training here, we've seen so much growth—not just in karate skills, but also in confidence, discipline, respect, and focus. The instructors genuinely care about every student and create a positive, encouraging environment where kids can thrive.
USK Karate has been an outstanding experience for our son. Their motto, “The Art of Transformation,” truly reflects what they do every day. Our son is a sensitive young man, and the instructors have created a supportive environment that has helped him grow both physically and emotionally.
We have known Ms. Rebecca Waters for many years and she is such an amazing person, and an incredible martial arts instructor and role model. Like in martial arts, where there are soft and hard styles or techniques, Ms.
Your first Karate class at USK Karate - Boynton Beach
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
