From the reviews
Our daughter has been doing the tiger program for several months now. She loves being there and playing with friends. The young instructors have impressed us greatly. This photo shows how Sempei Seagle empowered this little kid. The student cries every time they play a particular game.
We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Championship Martial Arts Swansea!! Our 7th grade daughter is in the teen/adult class. Her physical strength, stamina, and coordination have improved considerably since she has been attending twice a week-not to mention her self-confidence and skills.
I am in awe of you and want you to know I believe you would make a fantastic educator. You have all the markings. You learn every child’s name, you treat them as individuals, you’re engaging, interesting and have a perfect command of your class.
Sensei Dahl & Sempai Seagle are incredible! They've helped my son grow so much! I originally put him into karate a couple years ago to learn self defense, stay active, & gain confidence within himself & his body - & 3T karate has helped him do just that & so much more!
Your first Karate class at Championship Martial Arts - Swansea
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
