Private lessons are one-on-one (or small-group) sessions with an instructor, and they are the fastest way to make progress in karate: every minute is spent on you, so technique gets corrected in real time, questions get answered, and the pace fits exactly where you are. People book privates to build confidence before joining group classes, to sharpen a specific kata or technique, to prepare for a belt test or tournament, or to train around a schedule that group timetables don't fit. They tend to cost more per session than group classes, and availability depends on the instructor.
