From the reviews
We are so blessed to have found CD Young Karate in Henderson . They are always going above and beyond to help the kids ! They also plan many family events throught the year , which makes it like its own little community.
Best karate school Best atmosphere Best instructors Idk what else I could say. Everyone is super nice, friendly, and has the best attitude. They don't only teach karate they teach how to build good habits, but they inspire even us parents to grow personally, emotionally to be the best for us for our kids and families…
My 7 year old has been coming to Engage lifestyle Martial arts for 3 1/2 years now and we couldn't be happier with our decision . My 4 year old just started this year and he loves it so much . I have completed self defense classes which is amazing that they offer them .
This is hands down the best and most professional karate school. They focus on every child individual need. The instructors are very interactive and keep the small kids on point. Master and Mrs. Young always have time to inform you of progress. We absolutely love this school.
Your first Karate class at Engage Lifestyle Martial Arts
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
