From the reviews

After spending my early life in a dojo, I wanted to do the same for my son. Imagine my surprise to find an old classmate of mine teaching classes near me! We've been enrolled here for a year now and love every minute of it.

I started my son out when he was 4 and he is now 6! My goal was to put him in something to help build self discipline and I have yet to regret choosing Green’s martial arts. Sensei Amy and Sensei green are awesome! They have been nothing short of amazing in helping my son grow as a young man and karate student.

★★★★★ — Danielle, Mar 2024

We have been at Greens Martial Arts for 2 years! My son absolutely loves it! Sensi Amy cares for her students and is an amazing instructor. Jax has matured greatly since starting at 3 years old. Sensi Amy shows that she is in tune with her students and corrects any error! Discipline in love!

★★★★★ — Tiffany, Mar 2024

My son really enjoys karate at Green’s Martial Arts. Sensei Amy is awesome and knows all the kids names and sends postcards routinely. Mason always feels so special when he get mail for him out of the mailbox. The environment is all about respect, kindness and discipline.

Your first Karate class at Green's Martial Arts

Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.

Karate is a contact sport. Ease in, train within your limits, listen to your instructors, and if you have any injuries or health concerns, mention them before class and check with a doctor if you're unsure.
