From the reviews
I left the original review below four years ago. My opinion has changed....for the better. I joined my daughters on the floor in May 2018 when Mr. Evans offered a Mother's Day event/challenge and a decision that it was time for me to invest in myself and my health.
My son was being bullied in school, he was assaulted on the bus. He began hating going to school and was miserable. I registered my son for Karate and Coach Kevin has been like a second father to my son. He and his family work together to run Free Home Martial Arts and I absolutely love everything they do. Mr.
This is more than just martial arts! They have become like family. The support for their students and family's is so wonderful. My son truly has become a much better version of him self. He show respect, responsibility, accountability and so much more focus in all he does!
Our son loves doing karate here! He has advanced a few belts in the last year and loves breaking the boards!
Your first Karate class at Inspiration Martial Arts Freehome
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
