From the reviews
Both my sons go to this karate studio. My older son has been going for almost four years now. He love it. Sensai Gerald is awesome with the kids and cares about their well being in and out of the studio. He does a lot of fun activities with them it’s not all about karate lessons!
My child has loved her experience with Sensei Gerald. She has already expressed that she would love to continue her karate lessons next year!
I absolutely love Karate Kickers. My son has been attending for about 3 years now and he still loves it! He has learned so much and has gained confidence along the way. Sensei is always a pleasure to work with and truly cares for his students and their growth beyond karate. Thank you Karate Kickers!
Karate Kickers Martial Arts Academy and its instructor, Gerald, will change your life. I was a student here for close to five years. Gerald not only taught one of the best martial arts classes, he also taught valuable life lessons that will carry me through the rest of my life.
Your first Karate class at Karate Kickers
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
