From the reviews
Pak's Karate has been so good for my young son, I've seen him so eager to learn new moves & forms and he enjoys the lessons taught, even if it takes him time to fully grasp - Master Vince and his team are so incredibly patient with the students and accept their growth individually and allow each to learn at their own…
We have been going to Pak's Karate for several months now and my son can't get enough of it. He has made a great connection with Master Vince and the other students in the class. There is a unique vibe in the class and Master Vince goes out of his way to connect with every student and the parents.
The quality and the communtity is 10/10. The master himself will be with your child every step of the way. The Pak's karate academy is a safe environment for my child to grow and develop his/her skill without being judged!
My son has been training at Pak’s Karate with Master Vince for probably 7 years now. He currently holds a black belt and continues to enjoy his time at Pak’s. Master Vince doesn’t only teach karate to the kids, but instills respect, honor, confidence, kindness, community service, and family.
Your first Karate class at Pak's "Karate"
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
