From the reviews

We started looking for schools 4-5 months ago and after doing some research and a handful of trials we decided premier was the best place for our boys. Initial impressions were that the school was immaculate and a healthy place to train physically and the coaches (Shawn,Ahn and Bryce) were knowledgeable and passionate…

Coach Tori is outstanding! She has great blend of patience, knowledge, and intensity that is hard to find. What really sets her apart is how she’s invested in my entire family, even those off the mat. She is alway quick with an encouraging word and applies life lessons on and off the mat.

BEST Martial Arts Studio in Texas. We have been bringing our 10 year old daughter here for almost 3 years. Thanks to wonderful instructors like Coach Tori, Mr. Anh, Mr. Bryce, and Coach Rodriguez, my child has learned great skills, self-discipline, and most of all CONFIDENCE!!! Mr. Steven and Mrs.

Our son started taking classes here at the beginning of the year. He is loving it! The instructors are engaging and keep the kids on their toes. They are learning at a great rate and build on what they learn at each class. They reinforce the respect learned at home, along with discipline and determination.

Your first Karate class at Premier Martial Arts West Arlington

Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.

Karate is a contact sport. Ease in, train within your limits, listen to your instructors, and if you have any injuries or health concerns, mention them before class and check with a doctor if you're unsure.
