From the reviews
I absolutely adore this dojo! Mr.Tony and his team have done so much for my daughter. They teach the kids how to work hard, respect their elders and peers, have self control and to be emotionally and physically strong.
I can not say enough great stuff about The Lebanon Dojo. We put our son in the dojo about 2 years ago and he has opened up and is so comfortable there. All the instructor are amazing. They take the time to make sure all the students are learning the skills for isshinryu. I would recommend The Lebanon Dojo to anyone.
This is by far the best dojo out there, you learn so much about Isshinryu karate. They also have the best instructors, Mr. Tony, Ms. Sandra and Mr. Jeff just to name a few. I started two years ago and I am now a blue belt. The dojo is my second home. I am very proud to be apart of this dojo.
No matter what stage of life you are in this is the best decision you could ever make. Great place to learn self discipline, confidence, and how to protect yourself. We are a family here and always looking for new members. Come check it out, you won't regret it.
Your first Karate class at The Lebanon Dojo
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
