The classes they run
“It had the challenges and resource-accumulating aspects of games like Minecraft but he was away from the screen, running around, and interacting face-to-face with other kids.”

From the reviews
Sensei Shawn came and shared his martial arts knowledge with a group my of participants with developmental disabilities. This was a program away from Classic City Karate and Sensei Shawn was very helpful and willing to make the program special with a demonstration and weapon history lesson.
The instructor is super fun, super knowledgeable, and has an incredible ability to transfer his skill sets. I enjoy the space, the class structure, and the overall atmosphere of the Dojo. The material is obtainable yet presented in a way that keeps me challenged and learning.
My kids (8 and 10) attended the ninja olympics summer camp and had a blast. It was a great way to be active but out of the heat. We highly recommend it!
Our son did the Golden Hue summer camp and he was obsessed. He loved the interactive games so much that he came home wanting to draw detailed maps so he could bring them to camp the next day to trade them in for resources and upgrades. The camp kept his body moving and his mind working in such a fun, creative way.
Your first Karate class at Classic City Karate
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
