From the reviews
I wish I could give more than five stars because five just doesn't seem enough nor does mere words do justice to how I feel about Epic Martial Arts. We've been with them since 2019 and they'll have to kick us out because we have no intention of ever leaving.
Our son has been taking classes at Epic for 8 months now, and he absolutely loves it! Not only is he having fun learning martial arts and staying physically active, but his coaches and his training reinforce important life skills we are teaching him at home like focus, discipline, integrity, confidence, and respect.
My daughter has been going here for just a little over a month now and she absolutely loves it ! She’s in the little ninjas class and she is a handful . Very difficult to handle but the way the instructors and coaches have shown patience with her is amazing.
My daughter has been going here for the asp program, summer and break camps for a year. These people are the most loving, uplifting group and they treat my daughter like family. I am so thankful for them. They go above and beyond. They treat you like family. It has been a blessing for us.
Your first Karate class at Epic Martial Arts
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
