Feb 2022- It is a great place ! The instructors are amazing and our kiddo really enjoys class everytime! She teaches me a thing or two when she leaves and i've seen her focus and confidence sky rocket in the past 2 months. I think it's worth every penny- so grateful to Mr. Perry and the whole team here.
My daughter has been going here for a couple months. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They show a lot of patience with the kids and do a good job of keeping it fun, but serious at the same time. They seem to be put in a bad situation by the management in my opinion.
My kiddo has been training with PMA since he was 5 years old. He is now 22 and I am proud of the young man he is and I know that the instructors and owner of PMA played a HUGE role in that! I love that this school is not just a “program” but that they are one big family.

Your first Karate class at Premier Martial Arts West
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
