From the reviews
My son likes it very much. His skills and self-confidence have improved significantly in the last year. I think that the senseis and junior leaders are doing a great job inspiring them.😁👍
I highly recommend SA Kids Karate, both of my daughters started Martial Arts last summer. During that time, I started a new job and was in need of a Summer Camp that took in 4 year olds. I was relieved that SA Kids Karate did!
We have been with SA Kids Karate since 2021, when my son was 4. We have attended the evening classes, but this is his first year attending summer camp and I’m very pleased with the program. The structure that Kyoshi Dan and Ms. Susan have created is what I was looking for in a summer camp. Ms. Susan is amazing.
My son began the SA Kids program at the age of 5 when he started Kindergarten, he is now 10 years old and in 4th grade and a JR Brown Belt. I can honestly say SA Kids built my son a solid foundation for everything that he has accomplished up until now and moving forward in his future.
Your first Karate class at SA Kids Karate
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
