From the reviews
Master Yoo is the best! My son Andrew looks up to him as his role model. He enjoys to come to the classes after school. Andrew has improved with his behavior in school and has more focus and his confidence has increased as well! I wouldn’t look anywhere else Master Yoo is an incredible person inside and out!
I don't even know where to begin and Angela was right about Cali is blessed to have Master Yoo. Master Yoo has very unique teaching technics, we LOVE his energy, his sense of humor, his confidents, his love for all his students.
We were first introduced to TEMA through a classmates birthday party. To be honest we were not even thinking of Martial Arts at that time but when we did a trial and saw how the classes were being taught I was so impressed at the instructors that we ended up enrolling right away.
Two of my daughters are enrolled in TEMA. The instructors, Master Yoo and Master Y are great with young students. My girls look forward to attending every week as TEMA creates a fun and disciplined environment.
Your first Karate class at TEMA - True Education of Martial Arts
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
