From the reviews
Karate Atlanta Johns Creek is one such place where the attitude meets achievements. I got my son enrolled for the class with an open mind and the benefits which it yields now are multifold. The instructors are great in the way they teach and the focus they bring to each and every student is commendable.
The quality of the instructors is phenomenal at this location. There is a wide range of cultures represented and the presence of strong confident women on the mat is also impressive. All instructors lead with patience, kindness, and consistency. They are encouraging and reach their students by building connections.
The instructors are amazing. The school has a great family environment. I enrolled my boys and joined a couple months after they joined. I have a lot of fun with my kids and enjoy this school and participating in tournaments together. It is a great sport and activity the whole family can enjoy.
Our family has two boys, ages 14 and 7, and they’ve been training at Karate Atlanta Johns Creek for about two years. We originally enrolled them in the Black Belt Club program and had a very positive experience. At one point, we tried a different karate school that was closer to home for convenience.
Your first Karate class at Karate Atlanta John's Creek
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
