From the reviews
I signed my daughter up at Mastery Martial Arts not just because she wanted to become a black belt but because I was looking for a place to help her gain more confidence in herself and to try new things.
My daughter Adalynn is currently in her 2nd year at Mastery. Since day one I noticed a change in Adalynn. We have had our ups and downs during this journey but isn't that what life is? Adalynn just received her high green belt and is looking forward to continuing her journey here at Mastery. Thank You Mr.
Review of Mastery Martial Arts Our journey with Mastery Martial Arts has been nothing short of transformative. My son has been part of the program for several years, and just recently, he achieved a major milestone—earning his certified black belt.
Mastery has been amazing experience for Gracie! This cycle has been her best yet outta being in the program almost two years!! You can see her confidence as she stands in front of her teammates and peers to demonstrate her martial arts moves which is impressive at such a young age which she’s 7!!
Your first Karate class at Mastery Martial Arts - Warwick
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
