From the reviews
This is the best place to learn martial arts. The instructors have passion that is transferred down to the students. My daughter has learned to respect herself and her self esteem has improved since enrolling. I could not recommend a better environment or teacher to learn some self defense.
My son has been going here for years and a member of the Kama Competition Team. Kama is not just a Dojo, it is where you become family. Kama has taught my son discipline, character and self confidence.
Even just in one class I learn lots! Very rewarding, and great teaching. You get pared with all different people in class, and every one of them, even the students are great teachers. Looking for some self-defense or fitness, then 5 stars recommended!
Great place for kids to learn work ethic, responsibility, and respect. The staff are professional and know what they are talking about!!! The kickboxing classes are super fun too!!!! Love this place!!!!! Would recommend to Any and everyone!!!
Your first Karate class at Prevail Martial Arts
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
