From the reviews
My family have been students at Action karate for a year and a half. We knew the school had a great reputation, but it’s one thing to hear it and another thing to experience it. We are so grateful to be a part of such an amazing community! The instructors are fantastic.
I started training here in January of 2023 because they were running a "parents train free" special and my daughter (8) had just started. I was 40 years old and initially only did it to support my daughter and give us an activity we could progress through together.
My 9 year old daughter started karate here in December of 2022. The instructors informed us that she should commit to coming 2 days a week. Well, after her first class she wanted to come just about every day that she could. She loved it!
This is a great place to start karate for your kids. Masters are so kind and helpful. Kids having fun while learning karate as well as good discipline. My two boys gained a lot of good things from these classes Cheers, Ms. Kasey & team!!
Your first Karate class at Action Karate Skippack
Nervous about walking into a Karate dojo for the first time? Almost everyone is, and a good sensei expects beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks — not hard sparring. Step to the side whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: athletic wear you can move in (or a gi if you have one); you'll train barefoot. What to bring: water, and a mouthguard if you have one — many dojos lend a loaner gi for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gi and the belt your dojo awards you. Kumite (sparring) eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the sensei. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
